Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Pikos application and the pikos.app website. By downloading or using either, you agree to these terms.

Your data is yours

Everything you create in Pikos (notes, tasks, calendar events) belongs to you. We claim no ownership or license over your content. Your data is stored on your device, and you can export, copy, or delete it at any time.

License

Pikos is available as a free download and as a paid purchase on the Mac App Store. Both grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the application on your own devices.

You may not redistribute the software commercially or resell it.

What you get

The free download includes the full application. A Mac App Store purchase includes the same application plus iCloud sync when available. We intend to keep shipping updates, but we don't guarantee a specific cadence or feature set.

Refunds

The desktop app is free, so there's nothing to refund. If you back the project, you can get a full refund within 14 days of purchase, no questions asked. Just email [email protected]. Beyond that window, if the promised apps are dropped or the project is abandoned, every backer is refunded in full. The full terms are on the Back Pikos page.

No warranty

Pikos is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do our best to ship stable, reliable software, but we cannot guarantee it will be free of bugs or work perfectly in every environment.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Pikos. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the software, if any.

Acceptable use

Don't use Pikos or this website for anything illegal. Don't attempt to exploit, attack, or interfere with our systems. That's about it.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we'll update the date at the top. Continued use of Pikos after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
